With the current situation, many countries and states are going under lockdown. With this, the world seems to be slowing down. Need of the hour is to take things optimistically and spend some time with yourself and your loved ones.

Wondering what could you possibly do during your home quarantine? Well, here are 10 ways you could keep yourself engaged.

1. Read and Write

It is difficult to stay home for such a long time without getting bored. The first thing you could do is grab a book. Any book! If books are boring, try comics. You can always find books and comics online. Books could give you a lot of wisdom and knowledge and comics could always keep you engaged.

2. Finish your pending work

The second thing you could do is, finish your pending work. Let’s be honest. We all procrastinate. So get to work right now! It is always so satisfying to finish work on time. Especially now when you have an opportunity to complete all your pending work. Be it office related or maybe fixing that broken door knob, just do it!

3. Work on your Cooking Skills

Channel your inner chef and get creative with all the food in your kitchen! Also, make sure you don’t waste any food. This is a time of crisis and these resources are perishable.

4. Organize your room/home

Organize your closet, your shelves and do your laundry. It is best if everything around you is clean and hygienic!

5. Exercise and Breathe!

Stretch a little. Don’t be a lazy person. Give your body another chance and flex it a little. Trust me, you’ll feel a lot better. You could do yoga or maybe play your favourite track and do some zumba!

6. Get Creative!

Paint something, doodle and put all your creativity at work. You don’t have to be an artist to draw. Just draw something or fill in some mandalas. This will soothe your mind.

7. Binge watch movies and series or something informative!

If nothing seems to be distracting you, just sit with some nice homemade snack and binge watch your favourite show. If not, watch some documentaries, or talk shows to keep you entertained.

8. Spend time with family

We live in a busy world and most of us devote a lot of time to our work. With this shutdown you are getting an opportunity to stay home with your loved ones and spend time with them. Keep everything aside and tell each other interesting stories or play some indoor games.

9. Call or Text your old friends

We forget about our friends who stay far away from us. We rarely get time to talk to them. Pick up your phone and give them a call! Video call them if possible. It will be overwhelming to see your friends and talk to them without any fear of having less time!

10. Lastly, take care of yourself!

Take care of yourselves, stay indoors, eat healthy, and do not panic. We are in this together.

Stay strong!
